Lecture given by A. Lee Fritschler, Scripps College Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow and Former Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education. What is the political climate on campuses today?  Is academic freedom alive or has it been suffocated by undo influences by groups from the left or the right?  Can students and faculty of all political stripes freely express their views?  What does the future hold for civic education on university campuses?

The Tuesday Noon Academy is a collection of presentations by Scripps College faculty and visiting scholars from a wide variety of disciplines, offered free of charge to the community. Attendees are welcomed to bring their lunch or purchase lunch at the Malott Commons Dining Hall. Coffee and Tea will be provided. Doors open at 11:45am.
