 SCRIPPS CAMPUS EVENT REQUEST PROCESS

·        All campus event requests must be submitted through VEMS.

·        Submitting an event request does not guarantee that the event or space will be approved. Your event is not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation from the Office of Events and Conference Services.

·        Events should not be promoted internally or externally until Events and Conference Services has approved the event and location.

·        Ticketing is recommended for all events with 100 or more participants.

·        For indoor events, masking is recommended, but not required. For the most up-to-date campus COVID-19 protocols, please visit scrippscollege.edu/scripps-strong.

 

EVENTS REQUIRING RESOURCES: FACILITIES, CATERING, MEDIA SERVICES, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

·        Submit request a minimum of 15 business days prior to the event date.

·        Events and Conference Services will review request and respond within 72 hours.

·        The team will provide consultation on venue and resources needed.

 

NON-RESOURCE RESERVATION REQUEST

·        Events that do not require resource services from Facilities, Catering, Media Services, or Marketing and Communications can be made the day of. These apply to classrooms and conference rooms, only, and are confirmed immediately.

·        Use the Non-Resource Reservation Request Reservation Template to make these requests and receive immediate confirmation.

 

STUDENT EVENT REQUESTS

·        All student event requests must receive approval and confirmation from the Office of Student Engagement (OSE).

·        Student event requests should be submitted to OSE at least 15 days prior to the event date.

·        Upon approval, OSE will issue an event confirmation; student may then submit the event through VEMS.

·        When making VEMS reservation request, OSE event confirmation must be added to "Details.”
